Chinese Museum Excursion

Our excursion to the Chinese Museum and the Ian Potter Gallery was a fabulous experience and hopefully everyone learnt something from the day. The weather was kind to us too and the rain only began after we had arrived back at school! Here are a few images from our day.

Canned food for the poor and needy.

Grade 3/4 Gorman families have been asked by the school to donate cans of soup or food so that we can give these to organisations like St Vincent De Paul, to distribute to the needy. You can bring the cans to the classroom and we have a collection basket we are trying to fill. Many thanks to you all for your help!

Australian Tribal map

These are the tribal territories of every Australian aboriginal tribe. Each tribe has its own language, culture, history and traditions. When Captain Cook drove aborigines away from Botany Bay, he drove them into the territory of other tribes, which caused further problems. These tribal territories are complex and highly structured.

What a great Class Assembly!

awesome dog

Well done everyone – your fabulous performance has been captured on video too (from a distance!) You were all sensational and are natural performers and if there had been talent scouts from Hollywood present, I may not have had a class to teach next week – they may have whisked you all away! Congratulations again!
