Term 4 Week 4 :

Religion: Social Justice – Write and illustrate a prayer  for all those people in our world who are less fortunate than us here at St Dominic’s in Camberwell.

Maths: Draw 5 shapes and divide them into (and label) 1/3’s, 1/4’s, 1/6’s,1/8’s and 1/10’s. Write a fraction sentence for each eg. 2/5 +3/5 = 5/5 or 1 whole

Information Text: Write an information text about your favourite Australian mammal (a furry animal that feeds its babies milk).

Include information about 1) what kind of habitat it lives in and why 2) its diet 3) its behaviour (nocturnal?) 4) its main predators and competition 5) why or why not this animal would be a good pet.

Term 3 Week 7 :

Spelling Words: Dear 3/4G Students – you all need to select your 15 weekly spelling words – make sure they challenge you, otherwise they are obviously too easy. Write them on your spelling sheet and also in your diary. Have Mrs Gorman sign them off when you have completed them on Tuesday.

Reading: Read 4 times for the week and record this daily in your diary – have a parent sign your diary before you hand it up for correction on Friday.

Topic Words: Go to Discovering Mars!  Scroll down the page until you get to the Grade 4/5 section – maybe some of these Mars words will be challenging for you. Use 10 of them in proper sentences, underline the word. Go to the ‘Play a Game’ section and select ‘Word Unscramble’ – how many of the Mars words can you unscramble? Have a go!

Maths: Division Games – Click Here to find some challenging Division games. Try as many as possible then rate them in your Homework book from “Favourite” to Least Favourite” game. Give a reason for each of your ratings!

Information Text: Write an information text explaining the dangers around your home and what we can all do to live safely. You could mention: not climbing up on objects, storing sharp objects around the house, chemicals and poisonous substances, safety around cars and the road and reasons why you keep your house secure at all times. Any other possible dangers??

Be good for Mrs Gorman and Mrs Lackie and I will see you on Thursday. Look after Squirty too!

Term 3 Week 6 :

Dear 3/4G Students,

apologies for not posting sooner but when I got home tonight I felt very unwell and had to go to bed.

Unfortunately, I’m not any better so won’t be in on Tuesday. Our ‘visiting’ bird has been collected by Jill and is at our place.
